JEJU
___
Inspired by Jeju’s nature and charm, the scene of Jeju’s beautiful fresh water is captured and applied to a modern and minimal block-shaped bottle. This design was awarded the grand prize at the Jeju Premium Water Bottle Design Competition, hosted by the Special Self-Governing Province Development Corporation and co-organized by Crosspoint.
“The competition proposed new interpretations on bottle design, featuring great creativity and ability to diverge from traditional preconceptions of bottle packaging. The grand prize winner, ‘water block,’ certainly speaks to this ideal, and can be described as a ‘crazy idea!’ with a well reflected and unique concept. ” - Peter Zec, Founder of Red Dot Design Award

PURO
___
During the first Designathon, a 48 Hour Design Challenge that took place in Athens, we were assigned the branding and web design of the –fictional- bottled water brand, Puro. Our task was to design the logo for the base product, as well as two side-logos for the Still and Sparkling Water counterparts after being given a short brief as well as the sitemap and copy for the website.
Our conceptualization of Puro gave it a Premium feel. We wanted the water product to be premium, and an elegant feel to be passed along the identity as well as the website design. That’s why we went for a clean look, utilizing flat design principles and few, solid colors as well as bright photography of snowy mountains located in Norway.
While packaging didn’t play a major role in the challenge process, we felt we had to add the extra effort required in order to provide an eye-catching result. The bottle was designed to be simple, minimal, using only the addition of the cork bung (for the Still Watter) and the granite bunk (for the Sparkling) as a decoration.

EVIAN
___
Evian Natural Spring Water to debut first new bottle since 1999! “Danone Waters North America has redesigned its Evian Natural Spring Water bottle for the first time in 14 years, as it attempts to create a ‘new connection’ with US consumers within premium water.
Sleeker and with cleaner lines, the 500ml bottle has a ‘lable-less’ look with a ‘simplified, elegant reduction of the previous logo design.’
The bottles simple shape and bevelled mountain ridges evoke the ‘simplicity and regality’ of the water’s source in the French Alps and Evian-Les-Bian (it has been bottled from there since 1826).”
Eric O’Toole, presidents of Danone Waters North America, said: “We’re very exicted. Our new bottle allows Evian’s honest and natural personality to make a new connection with consumers. Evian has been the icon of the category for three decades, yet its vibe and skin had become dated. We wanted to remake the brand so consumers would be proud to once again call it their favorite water. It’s a sharp new look, and we can’t wait to see it here, there, and everywhere.”

PEDRAS ESMERA
___
Esmera is a project developed in the Graphic Design course at IPCA (Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave) in Portugal. Esmera is a gourmet range of three fresh flavors (rosemary, mint, basil) of the well known portuguese water brand “Água das Pedras”. Without loosing the shape of the original and characteristic bottle of “Água das Pedras”, all the graphical work was developed taking into account values like freshness, lightness and gourmet. The idea was to break the current graphical language and still keep his identity resulting in a edition with an exclusive character.

NEW ZEALAND ARTESIAN WATER
___
Marx Design was tasked with creating a superior still and sparkling water brand that would be sold exclusively sold in restaurants across China and New Zealand. New Zealand Artesian Water features a premium luxury label that will surely resonate with the Chinese and New Zealand market.
“Creating a visual language that would appeal to these two diverse audiences was critical to success. How would we unify, let alone traverse commonality between them, while also presenting the dominant codes of the water category in a unique and creative manner?”
Drawing ideas from water bottle designs and their purity, Marx Design drew from images of glaciers, lakes and water droplets and used them to create New Zealand Artesian Water. New Zealand is well known for highly decorative historical stamps and 19th century landscape art. The drawing of these two elements in an illustration elicits the purity of Pre-European New Zealand. The purity of this scene is enhanced further by the surrounding motifs. The typography is finished with gold foil to reinforce a sense of premium opulence – making this a bottle of pure elegance.

RUSTAD
___
Norwegian design agency Strømme Throndsen Design created these beautifully simple designs for Rustad Spring Water. Available in both still and sparkling as well as cans, cartons and bottles, this packaging screams clean Norwegian design. Although, I can’t help but see the Rawlings logo (as different as it is) when I look at this packaging.

BLK.
___
Our proprietary blend of fulvic acid (a derivative of plant matter) is mined from an 80 million year old source deep within the earth. Naturally black in color, the formula binds to the molecules of our pure Canadian spring water giving blk its signature black color, with no artificial dyes, coloring, or additives. Fulvic acid is critical in the growth of plant life, helping the transportation and absorption of nutrients. Fulvic acid’s small molecular structure allows for the fast absorption of over 77 different trace minerals and elements, powerful electrolytes, and antioxidants.
